Our Story
Made from earth.
Who We Are
Yavvana began as a quiet act of returning to something ancient.
Yavvana was born in a small studio, from a love of working slowly with natural materials. Terracotta — that warm, rust-coloured clay — has been shaped by human hands for thousands of years. We work with it as it has always been worked: without haste, without machines, without compromise.
Each collection is a conversation with the world around us. The Festive collection draws from the colours and symbols of celebration — marigolds, diyas, the warmth of togetherness. The Elements collection is quieter: earth, water, fire, wind translated into wearable form.
We believe that the things we wear should carry meaning. That beauty and craft are not separate. That the mark of a hand is something to be kept, not hidden.
What We Stand For
Hand-shaped
Every piece is formed entirely by hand. No moulds, no shortcuts. The clay holds the pressure of fingers and the decisions made in the moment.
Small-batch
We fire in small batches. This means slower production and no two pieces are ever identical — which is exactly the point.
Natural materials
We use natural terracotta clay, mineral glazes, and metal findings that are kind to skin. No synthetic coatings.
Made to last
Terracotta is one of the oldest ceramics on earth. Fired at high temperatures, our jewelry is durable, warm, and built to be worn for years.

The Process
From raw clay to finished piece.
Wedging & forming
Raw terracotta clay is wedged by hand to remove air, then shaped — pinched, coiled, or thrown — into its final form.
Drying & refining
Pieces dry slowly over several days. During this time surface details are refined, edges smoothed, and textures added.
Firing
Each piece is kiln-fired at high temperature, transforming soft clay into durable ceramic. This is where the colour deepens.
Finishing
Glazes or natural oxides are applied by hand, then fired again. Metal findings are attached. The piece is inspected and packed with care.
